Alberto Delmonte's painting is loaded with meaning in spite of its austerity, or perhaps thanks to it. His American heritage, which has its origins in the “School of the South” of Torres García, has had a strong impact. Despite this, it has also had a very personal influence.

The signs and symbols that fill these paintings, over and above their density, are formally simple. They correspond to a structural synthesis in modern art. His austerity is also, in some ways, a kind of conceptual result.

In this way, the American archaic world, with its formal and spiritual essence, and the aesthetic model of modernity converge. Once again, their bonds and affinities are emphasized, through the creative mold that this artist -at the height of his career- has managed to achieve.

This renewed heritage of Constructive Universalism is present in this artist's work, which is full of spirituality, with a current force and an equally strong personal touch, that are alive and dynamic in their mutations.
